Here I am again, i guess, to share to you what me and my honie are going through these past days. This week, I think is one of the most terrible week for me, especially my honie who has to experience all these things. But, I want to thank you all for praying, honie is doing good now and drinking his prescribed medicines. I know diabetes is a lifelong isickness, but with God's grace, everything will turn out well. Last wednesday we went to see an endocrinologist, Dra. Lucas of the Fairview General Hospital.
As the doctor saw the result of FBS, she mentioned to us that honie is indeed diabetic and told us that we have to strictly follow a 1500 calories-diet. A cup of rice, lots of water, variety of fruits every meal, no sweets and others. Of course, knowing honie who really loves to eat, it pains me to see him starving for food that he cannot take. The doctor also gave him some medicines for his maintenance. Dra Lucas also gave us some booklets to understand diabetes more and also to have some guidelines for his healthy diet.
When I am looking at his face, I can see that he is having difficulties coping with the disease and the possible complications. Sometimes, I want to cry, but like most of you are saying, I am his strength now and I must be stronger for him to get over this and live a normal life. I also feel scared of the possibilities but with us together, I know we can survive this, of course along with our love and with God above us all.
Please pray also for my cousin who is in the hospital now, she might have a premature baby. The doctor is observing her condition and stability and monitoring the baby. The alternative is to have a cesarean operation but the doctor is suspecting that her baby is still small for 8 months. Thank you once again from the bottom of my heart..

ReplyDeleteSis, dont worry everything will work out together for good. All environments and circumstances are still blessings for us as these are the ways the Lord's grace will be manifested in ways that we cannot tell. Just keep on trusting, His Faithfulness will never fail.
